Summer Session Information
Tuition
Summer Session tuition is $3,465 per course credit. Students will be billed $350 for internship and summer research credit. In 2025, there are no registration or application fees.
Financial Aid
Trinity College students who receive financial aid during the academic year (fall and/or spring) may be eligible for grant support for summer courses. Notify the Financial Aid Office of your interest in assistance, by completing the summer financial aid application (2025 version will be posted shortly). This form is due no later than one week prior to the start of the course and provides our office with needed information to assess your eligibility for aid. Please contact us via email Financial Aid Office or via phone at 860-297-2046 for further information.
Late Fees & Refunds
Classes dropped after each session’s add/drop deadline (noted above) will be charged a fee of $250.
There will be no refunds after the first class meeting.
Student Accounts
The Student Accounts office will bill Trinity students for tuition charges. Trinity students can access and pay their tuition on Nelnet Campus Commerce.
Visiting students will need to arrange payment when registering online for a course or institute via Paypal/credit card.
Please direct any questions about billing to the Student Accounts Department by emailing [email protected] or by phone at 860-297-2028.
For Trinity Students:
Trinity students can register and manage enrollments for summer session courses in March 2025 via TCOnline. (See Tuition & Fees above.)
Students can register for each session until the final day of each sessions’ add/drop period. A $250 drop fee will be charged for classes dropped after add/drop ends.
Students may enroll in no more than two courses per summer session. All summer session courses must be taken for a grade, not on a pass/fail basis.
Scroll down for information about summer internships for credit.
For Visiting Students (other undergraduates):
Visiting students to Trinity should first read through Information for Visiting Students and submit a visiting student application. Visiting Student registration is on a space available basis in remote courses only and you will be contacted with registration information once your visiting student application has been reviewed.
Course Cancellations
Courses may be canceled if they do not meet a minimum enrollment; students will be notified by the week prior to the session start date if a course is canceled. If that occurs, students may either enroll in an available replacement course or receive a full refund for the credit.
Withdrawing From a Course
Students may withdraw from a summer session course and receive a “W” grade prior to June 3, 2025 for Summer 1 and July 9, 2025 for Summer 2. After this date, withdrawing will require petitioning the Academic Affairs Committee for approval. Courses without withdrawal approval and left incomplete will receive an “F” grade. To withdraw from a course, students must notify the Registrar’s Office by e-mail. A phone call is not accepted as notice to withdraw, and failure to attend the class does not constitute a withdrawal.
